I am getting married on Sept. 5, 2010 and I have trouble deciding my colors.  For sure i want pink, but i was thinking i can do pink and brown or pink and green.  For the time of year, i think pink and brown might be more appropriate..any ideas?  Oh yeah, i want the theme of my wedding to have a romantic and elegant feel to it.

I like both. I originally wanted pink and green but FI wanted red in the wedding so I decided to go with red white and black.

i think both choices are really great combinations. I wouldn't let the season dictate the colors, pick what you and your fiance like!

Thanks! My dress was ivory too. I thought the brown and ivory went so well together. I picked the brown tuxedos before I picked the wedding colors so I guess I sort of did it backwards.

Season doesn't have to factor into your color choices, and neither does your dress.  Besides, white = ivory = eggshell = ecru = diamond = unto infinity.  Use the colors you like.  You could use all three, and have one just be for accent.

What colors or color combos does your FI want?? Maybe he has input on what colors your mutual wedding should be.

  i am getting married aug 7th 2010 and i am doing watermelon I just love it its bright and fun
My sister is getting married 3 weeks before me and doing pink and brown and it looks nice as well

Why not add a hint of like lime green in with your decorations & all? Don't limit yourself just because of the season...do what makes you happy after all, it is your big day!

I am also getting married in September 2010 and we are doing Gray & Orange. You could easily do gray & pink though. We liked this combination a lot because the gray/silver will add an elegant feel to it where I felt like the brown added more of a "comfort" and fall feel.

Honestly the biggest help for me was going to google typing in whatever the colors and wedding and looking at the Images page.  Gray is becoming more and more popular as a wedding color. I think it works best with a bright color paired with it to make it pop.

Where I;m from, we do a traditional ceremony as well and for that i'm considering a really light cheerful shade of purple and champagne. What do you think?
