So... I'm facing a bit of a quandary. My fiance and I are planning to get married in August of 2012, and I decided early on that I wanted to use red and white as our main colors. I adore red roses and plan to use them decoratively as much as possible, and I've always envisioned using red as the predominant color in my wedding. I also feel that the red/white color scheme would be a beautiful choice for the ceremony, as the church we're likely going to be married in has red interior carpeting with white pews.
At the same time, though, our wedding ceremony is also going to take place right down the street from the shore, and we'll be holding our reception in a venue on the beach. For that reason, I think that it would be really nice to somehow incorporate some beach-y elements, and FI really likes that idea, too. Nonetheless, I'm trying to figure out how we could possibly accomplish this without a tacky color clash, since blue tones are usually the most appropriate main colors to use for beach-themed weddings.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
