I need some honest opinions... My dad was my hero. He died in a car accident when I was 12 years old. My fiance remembers him because we rode the same school bus when we were in the third grade. I am dancing with my mother for my father-daughter dance. I am playing a slide show of pictures of him because this will be the only time in my life that I can show his family a window into how wonderful he was as a person.... I am thinking a country song and I was going to do "remember when" by Alan Jackson because my parents had a wonderful marriage and would have been married 20 years the year he died...so this year would have been their 35 wedding anniversary. Does anyone think this will be too sad? I was also thinking of the song "daughter in the water" by Loudon Wainwright...or the song "because you loved me" by Celin Dion... I was thinking of secretly recording my own voice singing because you loved me for my mom and playing it for the first time for our dance... I have sang my whole life and she has always supported me...(I know what you are thinking...if you suck that would be awful) but don't worry, I only suck LIVE!
Thoughts please?
