We're trying to find a way to cut back on our bar bill. We're already doing just beer, wine and two signature cocktails. We're now questioning if it's cheaper to bring in our own alcohol or use the supplied alcohol that the catering company/venue has.
I'm not sure how much it will cost to buy all the alcohol for approx. 75 guests, but I was hoping you guys could help me on that front. The other costs are:
Bringing in our own alcohol:
Bartender fee - $87.50 per 50 guests (so 2 bartenders)
Corkage fee - $7.50 per guest
Juice and soda is included with corkage fee
Liquor licence - $25
Alcohol - beer, wine and vodka (for the signature cocktails - ????? (not sure yet - can someone tell me how much they think this would be?)
Venue supplied:
Bartender fee - the same as above
Alcohol - beer - $4 or $5 (domestic or import)
Wine - $25/bottle
Soda or juice - $1.95/glass
Any idea which would be cheaper once you factor in the cost of buying the alochol? TIA
