how long will you have dated before you get married

For us, we'll be getting married on our 3 year, 1 month dating anniversary.  Same day of the week too!

My fiance Eric and I will have been together 6 years and some when we get married. I would like to have the wedding on the day we started dating, which is Valentine's Day, but I don't know whether that will actually happen! Either way, we are planning our wedding for 2010 in Mexico. In regards to dating for a long time, I think that's probably better, seems more likely the marriage will last that way. We started dating when were 17 & 18 so really young, but we have had some time apart as well, and I look forward to continuing our life together and taking the next step!
