I know a lot of people are averse to spending money for something that is free, but if you're ridiculously busy (like me) and have anxiety dealing with government forms (me x 3) then MissNowMrs.com is a really nice tool.

I got it when there was a weddingchannel.com deal for 50% off of the service, and it's really sweet. You fill out a bunch of questions and it populates all of the forms for your local offices for you so you just print, sign, and go! I REALLY hate filling out government forms and screw them up ALL. THE. TIME.

That and I have so little time right now it's a freaking joke.

So anyway, it's not for everyone, but it rocks for me.

And yes... this means I FINALLY GOT MY FREAKING MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE!!!!

Saturday = 2 month anniversary and we JUST NOW got the expedited copy. Wtf?

Thanks for posting this! I saw the deal for it and wasn’t sure exactly how it works so good to hear from someone who actually used it. I think it’s something I would consider just to make everything easier. So I’m guessing you weren’t able to change anything until you had the marriage certificate?

Correct. You need to change your name with Social Security before going anywhere else and they require the marriage certificate. Hawaii had a HUGE backup on the island of Maui so our expedited copy that should have been 3-6 weeks took 8!

Haha Thanks Cathy! I figured that since I could make it not say anything about a baby it would work for him. It's so cute! I just hate all of the pet tickers I found online... not as pretty

Yay!!! Congrats Brea! I can't believe it took that long. I guess I can expect the same thing. Thanks for the website, anything to make it easier on me would help, I changed my name when I got married then changed it back after my divorce, what an issue!

Thanks for the website! I'm all for paying people to do things for me, lol. That sounds like a great way to minimize all the stress/to-do list/paperwork after the wedding!
