Anyone else feeling chatty?

We loved Mandalay bay when we went to Vegas. I wanted to stay there but they were completely booked on my dates so we stayed at the Monte Carlo--boring!!! I wanted a lazy river though! Vegas is the reason I picked our wedding date of May 16th ; )

I think we are too, lol.  If we weren't on the beach I would go down since my hair is fairly long now. (I cut 10 inches off my hair a month before FI proposed and I was mad it wouldn't be long for the wedding! lol)  But I can do a down look for the ATH so it'll work out.

Cathy- I love that look. Very pretty. I am a big fan of the classic up-dos for more formal weddings. Unfortunately my hair doesn't cooperate into those kinds of things so I have been continually stuck on what I want. I did something similar to that for an occasion a few years back. 

Jenn- I have never actually stayed at Mandalay. My co sends me to Vegas quite often, but the closest I have gotten to M is the Luxor. Usually our conventions are at the Mandalay convention space, so I have seen our chapel in person and fell in love 2 years ago. I am SO excited. I have another business trip there in March where I can get some of the final planning stuff done. Last time we were there we stayed at the Cosmopolitan, one of the new places right in the middle of the strip. It was AMAZING and we got a crazy upgrade to one of their $700 a night suites. I am officially a hotel snob after that.

beck i have #2 on my pinterest also! I joke that it looks like my profile. I keep edging to something like that, but without the flower. Do you think a veil will cover that enough and have enough "stuff" in the front to not make me look bald?

I think so.  If you curl it enough I think it would have enough volume on top that you wouldn't look bald. (I always feel like I do when I pull my hair back into a ponytail, hate it!)  Will you be able to do a trial of it before your wedding?

I know what you guys mean about looking bald. I put my hair up for all of my pics for my work IDs and I look like I have no hair in all of them. You would think that I would learn!

Yes, I am going to do a trial when I am in Vegas in March. The thing I am most concerned about is volume really. My hair is about 1" past bra line, but isnt that thick. I am thinking I might need clip in extensions to make the look I want. I would like to send a pic to my HMUA beforehand so I can start shopping for them. The girls on the beauty board swear by the Remy ones, which I need to check out. 

Another ? ladies before I check out for the night (I am so lame going to bed at 10 on a Friday). Who is your style inspiration. I started googling pics just now trying to find something for Beck and keep coming up with pics of Kate Hudson. I love her style and am starting to realize I copy it a lot. Do any of you have a particular person, famous or not, that you identify with stlye wise?

That might seem like a very lame ? but I am genuinely interested...

I love Jennifer Anniston but I really haven't looked at any other up-dos besides the one I found. Haha Cathy, u don't want the same look! I loved how my hair looked for my first wedding but it was all up and this time I want it half up.

I love JA too- her style is so classic clean, with a bit of grunge to it. Adorable. I am team Aniston all the way. 

OK night ladies... if anyone comes up with any other ideas for hair I would love to see them. That is one thing I cannot settle on.

Most of my customers are on the east coast Cathy so my work hours are in your time zone. For me, 10 is 11 so my eyes start drooping. FI just asked if I wanted to watch a movie... I don't think I would make it past the opening credits, lol.

Cathy- I did the same with one of my school ID badges. Bad move on my part, lol.

Glad you can do a trial.  I've never used extensions since my hair is super thick, sorry!

I do like a lot of what Kate Hudson does.  I love her easy but put together looks and that beachy hair! Makes me want to go to the beach everyday!

My FI won't start a movie with me this last because I'll fall asleep. He gets sooooo mad when I do that. I just think its funny.

haha we have a friend that will come over and fall asleep to almost every movie even if it's not late.  He's fallen asleep in several movie theaters too, so funny.
