Hi!! I just finished dinner. We had sausage and onion wraps with mustard. Jenn why are you saving wine? What's the matter with you?! As for hair, I think that I want a French twist with a hair flower. I can't post pics right now since I am on the iPad.

Onion wraps? Like you use the onion as the shell and wrap something into this? Recipe please- I am a major foodie always looking for new recipe ideas. 

I like the idea of a french twist with a flower. I love using flowers as hair accents. I have a fingertip veil with beaded accents that matches my dress (strapless, mermaid-ish). I want to do a low bunish thing but I wear my hair kinda similar most of the time and kinda want it to be different for this- KWIM? 

I hope Jenn isnt saving wine. That is cruel. I have never been able to understand those people that let a perfectly fine wine sit in a cellar until it "ages" or whatever. No ma'am. Spend the money and enjoy it, ASAP.

At $60 a bottle for 12 0z so we are saving for a special occasion!


This will be what my hair will look like.  I don't want it all up, but I want it out of my face for the beach.

$60 for 12oz? Holy snikies. I get twitchy if I spend more than $12 for a normal sized bottle. 

I lurve that hairstyle. My hair has that kind of curl naturally but it irritates me when it is all the way down. Do you have a hairpiece picked out? OR was that in your jewelry thread and I missed it as I was falling in love with option 2?

I just sautéed up some sausage and some onions and used whole wheat wraps instead of rolls. Nothing too exciting. I also want my hair out of my face but I want it all up because if I leave it down any curls will fall out.

I also thought about a low bun since I usually just twist my hair up and put a clip in it.

Im quite new and am blanking on where your wedding is Cathy. Location? Do you want it ultra curly, beach wavy, or curls like Jenn's pic?

It's in West Palm Beach. I think or my hair that I just want it very sleek and pulled back. If its down it will get very limp and boring.

The wine is ice wine which is why it's so expensive! I'm having an orchid lei in my hair so I don't think I'm doing a hair piece. A pic of that is in my bio. I think in a previous post I might have mentioned our dates are close!

oh i have seen some great styles like what you are describing... lemme do some googling. 

I have been admiring the straight styles, but I know my hair in Vegas and it wont cooperate.

oh an orchid lei would be beautiful. I love that all you Hawaii brides are using the local customs in your ceremonies. I did check out your bio awhile back. I am super jealous of all the traveling you and your FI have done.

Hi ladies! I'm jumping because I just spent the last two hours looking for something for my hair, jewelry, and a cake topper, lol.  Found a few things I like but can't force myself to spend the money yet.  I always feel like I'll find something better, ugh.

I love the hair down look!  I'd like to do that but I'm afraid it will be too wind and will look bad in pictures...

where is your wedding beck? I think a lot of it depends on weather, IMO. I know how my hair reacts in certain climates, so that is gearing my search certain ways.

It's on a beach near Charleston, SC.  Since it's in April it shouldn't be super hot or humid which would make my hair super frizzy but it'll be windy on the beach.  I have two secret weapons though...my FMIL and FSIL are both hair dressers lol

Well that is lucky Beck... is your hair naturally wavy or curly? I just found an amazing mostly down do that has beach wave style hair that could be very pretty. trying to find a solid link though...

Ya, we love to travel! Ive only been with FI 3 years and I've done more with him than I did with my exH that I was with for 8 years. I defnwant to use as many Hawaiian customs as I can. I think if mostnof the hair is off your face and it gets windy it wouldn't be too bad!

that is pretty! For some reason I really love updos that have that cross over with multiple strands of hair- kinda looking woven, ya know? 

I want something up, but low. my hair has a natural wave/loose curl. I have a fingertip veil that I have to use. 

Most of the updos I have found so far are too high up for what i want. I want the veil to go on top of my hair, than off for the reception. 

beck i think you and i both are kinda in the same ballpark. unless I am getting confused and you wanted yours down?

ya cathy- it is like it tucks up instead of side to side. 

I am pretty creative with my hair DTD (don't judge my avatar... no one looks good in a graduation cap) and was thinking that I should do something like that for my (hopefully) interview next week. 

jenn- i agree. Especially with all of yall that are getting married on the beach. I would hate for mother nature to make me her b*tch and upset my pics, lol. But it is those fun little things that make it all the more personal. 

For us, the ceremony is inside, so that is a plus. But the desert heat and lack of humidity has not been kind to my hair in the past.
