I can't believe it's already that time to write my last post. I joined this board the day we got engaged, July 2, 2012 and it seemed like I had so much time to plan and get ready for the big day. Suddenly, we were down to seven months... and then four... and then we could say "we're getting married next month" and now I can say I'm getting married this weekend!
It has been an incredible journey, one that has helped me learn a lot about myself, FI and family and friends. I am so happy that we decided to do a destination wedding because I know that it will keep it imprinted in my mind forever. I am honored that 44 of our closest friends and family are coming down to celebrate with us. Most of all, I am so excited to spend some quality time with FI and enjoy each other's company before we head into the next chapter of our lives.
A big thank you to everyone on this board! Life has been crazy so I have been MIA lately... but without my friends on this board, my wedding wouldn't be as amazing as it's going to be. You were the girls who calmed me down when things started getting crazy. You helped me fix minor problems and keep the big picture in focus. And, you helped me create a wedding that fits with our dreams.
For all the brides-to-be, enjoy this moment. Wedding planning can be stressful -- it felt like a second (and maybe even third!) job. Remember to do what you want to do -- it's your day and it should be everything you want and more. Don't forget to take a step back and remember how awesome that "I'm engaged!!" feeling felt.
