I had a wonderful shower this Saturday! My bridesmaids planned it at a restaurant in Astoria, Queens, the Astor Room, which is a nice space with an old movies theme. It was so nice! Everyone loved it. They had bowls of doughnut holes with jam at each table. Mmmm! And then we got to choose from an omelet or a Caesar salad. I had the latter, as I'd had breakfast with my parents earlier.
They played a game where everyone filled out a paper about who knows FI & I best, with questions like where's my favorite place to shop (Target), where was our first kiss (my apartment at the time), what's our favorite kind of take-out to get (sushi). They'd asked FI the same questions and wanted to see how many it was we matched up together. We got 14 out of 18; he said our favorite thing to do together is "weekend adventures" (what does that mean?! haha), he said my least favorite bad habit of his is snoring, while I said that he never loads the dishwasher, which he says he does ALL THE TIME, ha ha.
Anyway, then we opened presents! My friends and family were very generous, and got us a lot of great stuff off of our registry from wine glasses, good knives, big fluffy towels, and Mario Kart, ha ha. They made me a bow hat/bouquet for my rehearsal.
It was such a great time. I'm so grateful to my wedding party for such a nice time. I'm looking forward to getting pictures!
