...follow up with people lately. I've been asking all of the groomsmen for well over a month now to get fitted. All of them have done so except for our best man which is my fiances brother and his nephew. I've sent him texts since beginning of Aug. to please make sure he goes and he keeps telling me "ok Ill go this week" and then it never happens. My fiance sent him a text this morning so we'll see how he responds. I also am having to follow up with about 30 RSVP's that we didn't get back by our date which was yesterday. Our hall needs final count a month before wedding which is Sept. 6th and we are gone all next week up north on vacation. I'm highly annoyed at how many I need to follow up on. I figured there will be a few but not 30!! All they had to do was circle their dinner choice and mail it back - people are just so inconsiderate I feel at times!
Last, my shower was Aug. 4th and I've been asking 2 of my bridesmaids who took pics if they could email them to me. I need a few pictures for some gifts that we giving for our rehersal dinner. Both have posted pics on facebook of other things that they've been to over the past few weeks but they can't email me my shower pics that I've been asking? I just feel so overwhelmed and stressed that on top of planning this wedding, the amount of folowing up and asking of people for certain things. I was stress free up until the last month or so and it's getting worse. I just can't wait for this process to be over and done with and just be married already so I don't have to worry about this crap anymore!!!!

With the RSVPs, a month and a half is pretty early to have the dealine. Many people, including me, don't have normal schedule and don't know their schedule that far in advance. I won't even have my schedule for October until the first week of September. I would give them some slack and wait another week. Even though you're on vacation, they can could still mail them and you could get them when you com back. With the groomsman, he still has some time too. It is frustrating, but if he doesn't get it done, he automatically takes himself out of the wedding. Just tell him the deadline.

Our hall requires final count by Sept. 6th which is a month before our wedding, so thats why I had to make the RSVP date as I did b/c I knew also that I'd be gone for a week and then that basically leaves me with a week and a half to contact those who didnt RSVP and get final count together for hall.

If your date was yesterday, you should probably wait a week to start calling. Some people don't know their schedules that far out and you will probably have some trickle in because they simply forgot when the date was. I know its a hassle and you want to get it sorted out, but it might be worth it to see which ones come in throughout this week still.

I agree with the PP here. It's irritating that the final groomsman hasn't gotten measured, but he still has time. I would call the tux shop and ask when the timeframe is that he has to get measured by and then CALL him, not text him and tell him the final deadline he NEEDS to get this done by.

That is pretty much how I feel about RSVPS. My venue also requires a count 30 days in advance and I will be spending Labor Day weekdend tracking people down, that part that makes me the craziest is that 90% of the people who have not responded yet are FI's family.  Fortunately, it's only about 20 couples and we still have 10 days.   We had 4 come in just last night.

As far as the groomsmen, I took myself completely out of it.  FI saw that I was getting super stressed about them not getting their suits and he assured me he would handle it.  It has not been handled  yet, but I'm just trusting that it will all work out and they don't show up in their boxers.

I understand why you made your RSVP date so early, but people don't know their schedules for October yet because it's still August.  I would have been shocked if you didn't have people to follow up with.  Also, a lot of people drop their RSVPs in the mail the day it's due, so wait a few days and then start calling people.  A week and a half is plenty of time to contact people.  If you don't get a hold of people, you leave them a message saying if I don't hear back from you by X date, I'm assuming you're not coming (this is after at least 2 attempts).   Good luck and enjoy your vacation!

RE: RSVPs, since you will be away could you split the list and ask your mom and FIs mom to call? I agree though, give people a couple more days.

We asked GM to be fitted by 9/8. So far no one has gone besides FI.  I have a feeling we will be chasing them as well. What is the absolute last day they can go according to the tux shop?

Chill on the shower pics... not worth stressing over. Tell them you would like them to display at the wedding/rd. I am sure they will get to it!

Hmmmm...it occurs to me I have no idea if the BM is prepared to be dressed or not. I'm leaving it to FI, and figure he will show and it will be ok.

Definitely agree with PP, choose your stress, find out what absolute cut-offs will be (then pad it. Ha!)

The shower pics are going to be used in a gift to my mom to give her on the rehersal night so I'll need it soon so that I can order her gift with the picture and have it in time for the rehersal night! Thats why there's a small urgency <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-cool.gif" border="0" alt="Cool" title="Cool" />
For the tuxes the final date was Sept. 4th - and with our best man being up north with us for a week starting this weekend thats why I was concerned.
