Not sure what other boards you girls frequent on here but I've been milling about the Catholic board since I'm having a Catholic wedding and they are almost as sassy as the etiquette peeps!

Just had to vent!

There was a girl who asked if anyone had any idea for her to have an outdoor beach wedding, if there was maybe a retired priest who would do it.
I simply mentioned that my sister had a friend of our family who used to be a priest but had left the church perform a "catholic-esque" wedding for her, since becaues her FI wasn't catholic, she couldnt recieve the sacrament of marriage, just a blessing.
She thought that was incredbily crappy and the church aspect and the idea that she wouldn't have a sacrament either way, she did the two things she wanted to do and it made her happy.
I got SOOOO much sh*t for it and even private messages saying how awful I was for advising someone to do something that would keep them from recieving sacraments for the rest of her lift and yada yada..
Kinda hypocritcal being that its a board dealing with religion and a good majority of the people posting on that wall are worse than any I've dealt with.
Im sorry you have had the same concerns, but again, at the same time I'm happy to know I'm not alone!!
