we picked out the suits for all the men to wear but the salesl ady at moore's said they don't have to actually be measured until a week before the wedding.  is this normal?
one of my big pet peeves is ill fitting suits so i want plenty of time for alterations to be made (we are renting but they alter to fit each guy).

It might be that way because they won't get the suits in until then, maybe thats why they say to wait?

That seems like it's cutting it a little close to me. We just submitted all our guys measurments to the tux company (they're all OOT so they had to be measured by tux stores in their areas) and they wanted them no later then 2 months before the wedding. If there are any fit issues when they come in it allows the store time to alter them or rush in a new jacket/pants.

We ordered with MW. All the guys had a deadline of Aug 4 to be measured. One of our Ushers missed it..he's only 17. I called and the guy said its fine as long as he's in by Oct 6 which is 2wks out. They said they give earlier dates for situations such as this and then u have a little leeway. The only one that is still to be fitted is the ring bearer..they don't want him in til Oct because he can grow so much in the time frame..they want to get the most current measurements. So no 2 wks doesn't sound like cutting it..but just make sure your guys are in there by that deadline! You won't have that leeway.
