FI disigned the ring all by himself, but using what he knew were my preferences. He did brilliantly! It's absolutely perfect and unique.

I'm not a big jewelry person so that made it harder for him to figure out what to get me. So since FI had no idea on what I would want so he took me with him to pick it out. He still waited a few months to propose after we found the ring.

I picked it out! I printed off a picture, said this is the ring i want (but was very scared bc it was A LOT more than I thought he would be willing to spend) luckily he was the "whatever one you want dear" I love my ring!

FI told me I could start looking at rings so I browsed the chain stores online. I found a ring that was more unique than all the rest and sent it to him. Then one of my friends convinced me to go try it on one day, little did I know FI had actually been planning for her to take me to find out if I liked the ring and what size I wore. A few months later FI proposed with the ring I had picked out. He was happy knowing it was what I wanted and felt much better about that than if he'd gone on his own and picked something I wasn't crazy about. I love my ring, but I sometimes wish we would have gone into stores to browse together but I can't stand pushy sales people. We got our wedding bands at a local place and afterward FI said he wish he'd known about that place sooner and he would have bought my e ring there because they were so great to work with.

Fi's aunt actually picked it out. I had been giving hints for the last 3 years or so. My e-ring is not like anything I had picked out. I love it though, it suits me perfectly. I had an inkling it was coming, but was completely surprised by the proposal.

We went together to look and I picked out several that I liked but one i loved.  He went back later by himself to get it. I did not know he wwas going to get it and he proposed a couple of weeks later when were on vacation.
