Floral budget? I'd love your input...

Today is my first back in wedding planning mode (after a few weeks off) and I'm tackling the floral and decor budget.  In advance of sending the pre-meeting planning sheet back to the florist, I would LOVE your input on an overall budget (ranges are fine) for the following:

1.  bridal bouquet (small to med sized, multiple flowers/various colors)
2.  three boutonnieres (fancy-ish, not carnations or roses)
3.  floral arrangements for cake table
4.  canopy (not quite a chuppah)
5.  sheer fabric draping for the atrium entrance (approx 10' x 8')

BTW, the venue provides hurricanes for the dinner tables, which are perfect for the historic setting (built in 1727), hence the absence of floral centerpieces on the above list.  ;)

Here are  a couple of inspiration photos:

(ignore that tent in the back ... the canopy just beyond the chairs is what I'm going for, only more shallow)

Your expertise and input are greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

    1.  bridal bouquet (small to med sized, multiple flowers/various colors)
     - My bouquet is 200, but it is large, and is made up of out of season flowers for my November wedding, for something smaller, with in season flowers I would estimate 100 to 120

    2.  three boutonnieres (fancy-ish, not carnations or roses)
    - I'd budget around 20 each

    3.  floral arrangements for cake table
    - again if your using in season flowers I would budget 50 to 100 depending on what type of arrangement your looking for. (If you are having bridesmaids many brides use the bridesmaid bouquets to decorate the cake table - I noticed you didnt have BM Bouquets listed so I'm assuming your not having them)

    4.  canopy (not quite a chuppah)
    - no clue

    5.  sheer fabric draping for the atrium entrance (approx 10' x 8')
    - again no clue, we are getting married in a church and will not have additional decor like this.

    Hope this helps!

My bouquet - $150... at first this seemed high, but it was the going rate for all of the florists I contacted.  The highest might have been $175.

Bouteneire for groom and groomsmen, dads - $12 each

FYI - Maids bouquet were $75 each
Wrist corsage for Moms were $20 each

We aren't doing a big floral arrangement for the cake, our florist suggested asking the bridesmaids to place their bouquet around the cake during the reception.  The flowers for the cake teirs and topper were $45.

Our chuppah was $325.  I think pricing for this can vary with what exactly you want and need.  We are doing a wooden chuppah with sheer ivory fabric draped over the top and poles.

I'm not sure about the last thing yet, we made need to get pipe and drape to close off the ballroom - the space we are getting married in is all open.  We are going to use a rental company instead of the florist.

My entire floral budget came out to around $2000.  This included a ton of stuff, though (bridal bouquet, bridesmaids bouquet, boutennieres, corsages, table centerpieces, wreaths for the ceremony, pedals for the aisles, altar display, etc.)

My bouquet is $125 and my bridesmaids bouquets are $75.

    Hope this helps!! Happy planning!

    raz ...

This is very helpful.  Did you buy or rent your chuppah?  Did you use the same vendor (florist)?

    Thanks!

Hey Lisa - We are renting.  I thought about trying to buy and DIY this - but in the end we didn't want the extra work and stress.  Our florist is providing this and if you are still looking for someone, I love mine!

I am just doing bridal bouquet, bridesmaid's bouquet, and two bouts. It will be $85 for the bridal bouquet, $65 for the bridesmaid's and $10 each for the bouts. This is at a local flower shop that I don't think does a lot of weddings.

You're lucky that you found someone who doesn't charge a premium b/c you use the word "wedding."  Good for you!
