Knot Picked Vendors?

Hello,
What goes into being designated a Knot Pick?  We have met with a couple of vendors with this designation and I have no idea what it means.  I mean, how does a vendor become a Knot Pick?  Is it based on client feedback?  I have read a few posts that imply this is not a meaningful title.  What's the real deal behind being a Knot Pick?

    I think it is probably vendors who have been featured in the magazine, or have a larger following and are recommended. I have a friend in Charlotte who is a wedding photog and she said sometime it has to do with advertising dollars, and also weddings in featured in the mag are pretty unique and very costly.. this is all second hand info- but I wouldnt go off the knots picks, but by other brides reviews on project wedding, the knot, and onewed and your own instincts. hth!
