Georgia-Atlanta

Need Atlanta-area planning help.

Hey Atlanta-area Knotties,

We’re doing an article for the local Georgia Knot Magazine, and we want to hear your tips on the best places in your area. Basically, this is a chance where we get to give props to local vendors. So tell us: What’s the best place for a bachelorette party in your city, the greatest florist, cake baker, hairdresser (and why!), or even the coolest place for photos or a post-wedding brunch. You’re not limited to these things, but it’s just an idea to get you started.

Post below, and thanks in advance!

    Hi Annie,

I think the Atlanta History Center deserves recognition in the magazine because of their stunning wedding venue in the Buckhead area of Atlanta.  Their Swan House is probably the most stunning background for a wedding in Georgia.

    I hope this help!

Affairs to Remember was such a great caterer at my wedding. At the tasting I got to meet my chef and tell him special instructions. Everything was done perfectly and my guests raved about the food.

    DJ:

To The Rescue Entertainment (http://www.totherescueentertainment) Not only are they a spectacular DJ company to work with, but the majority of their proceeds obtained from their services go to their 501(c)3 non-profit and state-licensed animal rescue and community outreach programs! Great music from professional and creative DJs and also supporting a fantastic cause?  Yes, please!

I just got my venue down and Events Catering in the historic roswell areas has been PHENOMINAL! I'm Cuban born and raised in Atlanta so they've offered to do a personal menu with cuban and southern food!

Best places for photos are piedmont park of course and any of the historic towns.  My fiance and I are also doing engagement photos right infront of the atlanta humane society where we got our dog. They have a huge red heart as one of thier letters so its a way to honor our dog as part of our lives too.

As far as bachelorette parties, depends on the bride but the virigina highlands offers a lot of dive bars to go hopping. East Andrews is a good spot and of course buckhead.

Splash of Life Portraits are my photographer and she has been so sweet! Her gallery looks awesome as well! The prices are incredibly reasonable especially for brides like me who are trying to stick hard to a budget.
