where to take engagement photos

I grew up in Atlanta; FI grew up in Kennesaw. Wanted to do engagement photos, but don't know where. Should it be a place that has good photo ops and scenery or a place around the area in which we currently live. I was thinking about Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield because it's common grounds for us and because I bet the gently rolling hills and fields would be lovely.

How do most people choose where they want to have their photos taken?

    We're doing our e-pics at Kennesaw Mt Monday. I can't wait!!

    I'm actually in the Alpharetta area, but our photographer suggested Kennesaw. I will defiently post pics up!

    We live in Alpharetta but chose to take our photos in Buckhead. A good friend suggested Lenox Park and it turned out to be an awesome suggestion. The greenery is beautiful and it's not crowded at all like Piedmont Park (another fave of a lot of couples). If you're looking for something picturesque, I say go with Kennesaw Mtn or Red Top Mtn. For a more urban look you can do Little Five, VA Highlands, Atlantic Station, or Downtown Decatur. But scout out some nice parks in the area if you want a more "green" look.

    I thought about Virginia Highlands. That's where I grew up, and it would be sort of nostalgic. But I'm also getting married at Callanwolde (which is also nostalgic for me) so I don't want to over do the whole childhood memories thing. People will start to question my sanity ;)

    My cousin's wife is just starting her photography business, and she takes BEAUTIFUL shots, she lives up in Chatuea Elan, so we are going to go up there and take pics on the golf courses and winery.

    I am planning on taking my e-pics at Chateau Elan. I love it there, it is so pretty and so many different backgrounds to choose from. I live only about 30 min away so its great for me. (:

    Chateau Elan is gorgeous. I don't even have a photographer yet anyway. My aunt suggested I use hers (maybe I will because her pics were all great)

    I am using Premier Wedding Photography for my e-pics, I am also using them for my wedding as well. It comes with the package I picked out. I really like his work, and its fun to have one on one time with your photographer before the wedding.

    We took ours at Washington Farms in Watkinsville. Loved it!!
