Bridal Shows

I was wondering what you guys thought about bridal shows and which show in the Philly area is the best one?  I am looking into starting my own wedding business  and was wondering if you guys found attending bridal shows was worth while and get opinions on which ones are the best.

Thanks!

Honestly, I did not go to any bridal shows because I heard all of these stories about how vendors stalked people afterwards. I found all of my vendors online then got recommendations on here and chose based on how I felt after meeting said vendor. Word of mouth goes a long way. Others may feel different but I didn't want to be bothered by a bunch of vendors I was not interested in so I just skipped the whole thing.

I've been to a few, and while I agree with jelybeancg about vendor stalking, if you just ignore them then eventually they stop trying. I do think they're great for learning about potential vendors and winning free stuff though. I'm actually going to one on the 18th at the Loews Hotel on Market St.

Meh.  Bridal shows are fun if you really have nothing else to do that day.  Otherwise, I kind of find them a waste of time.  The only vendors you really get are the "wedding factory" like David's Bridal, and the Pros.  The door prizes aren't really that good either

I was able to get more information about area vendors through this message board then I was through any bridal show I went to.

Ditto what NVC said.. stay far far away from the Pros booth.
