discount birdal gowns

Anyone know of some good discount bridal gown stores or outlets? Not looking to spend a ton of money. I am not looking for any dress that is real elaborate, but pretty with some added flourishes. Any sugestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

It depends on what amount you're looking to spend. For my first wedding, I got mine at David's bridal, off the clearance rack. $99. For this wedding, I bought off the rack as well, and ended up with a Maggie Sottero gown from Bridal & Tuxedo Outlet in Delaware on Kirkwood highway. They have some good gowns at good prices.

Also, if you don't want elaborate, you can look at prom gowns, (some of them are close enough to wedding gowns...) bridesmaid dresses, etc. Check consignment shops, (esp. if you don't mind wearing a dress that may have been worn already but is clean) goodwill, (I found a dress for our Philly TTD shoot at Goodwill. Brand new, never been worn, tags still on it from Davids. It was originally $250, I paid $35.

Be careful with buying off the rack - sometimes the alterations end up being very expensive. I bought a sample that knocked about $1K off the price of my dress, but then paid $345 to have it bustled and taken in 3 sizes.

I am going to be going to Sabrina Anne's in Ardmore in 2 weeks (my grandmother is coming from Peru so I am waiting for her to be here).  I can tell you my experience then but I have read a lot of good reviews.

i was in the macy's in cherry hill. they have a bridal salon and they had some dresses discontinued. and on sale. i think nothing over 699

Thanks everyone, I will have to check these places out.  There are some at davids that I like, so I may start there.  I have plenty of time, so I don't have to worry too much about time.
