How do you ladies feel about hiring a videographer?! I am so indecisive because of the cost $$.

i guess it depends on how much of the wedding  you want filmed, i guess if you want the ceremony flimed, i can understand that

but the whole reception and whatnot? it seems a little over the top.

I loved watching our video, I'm so glad we have it.  We also sent it to family that couldn't make it (Grandpa was sick, etc) and they were very excited to see.  If you're on a tight budget maybe just hire the videographer for the ceremony only or have a friend/family member record amateur video equipment.

I've had some friends say not hiring one is the only real regret from their wedding.  I just booked Yellow Paddle which is less expensive than the rest.  I'm getting married as the end of the month so I'll let you know how it goes!

Thanks! I guess we will have to wait and see if my FI gets his new position soon and figure out if we have money left over to hire one.

I think its a great way to look back on that day forever. A lot of my friends were indifferent about it, and those who chose not to have one look back now and wish they would have spent the money.
