Budget venues??

Anyone know of any budget venues. I'm not catering so no price for per person. My mother found a nice large hall for 1,000. I want to know if there are any nice halls for around or under this price in philadelphia, or bensalem or bristol.

Well how many people are you looking to have?  Are you having no food at all or bringing in your own?  Will you need tables, chairs, decorations?  Because some places even though food isnt included need to know if you are bringing your own.  If you need tables and chairs and if they have the space to accommodate a large group

I am having a large group, maybe 10 or More tables. I am bringing in food, maybe 150 people or less. I will be decorating the place also myself or bringing in people to do so.

I think the biggest problem you are going to face is bringing in your own food because alot of the places have the rental is sometimes included in with the price they charge for food.  Would I would suggest doing is looking into the fire halls in the area.  I mean I havent looked at places for just rental cost I have been looking at overall prices.

If you're looking for a 'non-firehall' firehall try the Ballrooms at Boothwyn. You won't be able to bring your own food and drink but the prices can't be beat and the guys own it are great to work with. One of the things I found interesting when I was there was when I talked to people who worked there they were as thrilled with it as the owners, most had worked there long term. Take a look. It's a few blocks off 95 but don't let that put you off.

I went there for an engagement party, and the food was good.
