$50 Per Head All Inclusive in Philly/South Jersey?

I'm trying to help a buddy of mine who is having a tough time putting together a wedding budget.  Do any of you know of any venues in the Philadelphia or South Jersey area that have an all inclusive package for around $50 per head?  They haven't been able to set a date yet because of the need to find a venue first as it makes up the bulk of the cost.  I think it's impossible and I've told them that but I figured I'd check with you all first.  I suggested they do a Sunday brunch wedding and they are open to the idea.  I looked at a couple places and the cheaper ones are coming in around $65 per head.

By all inclusive I mean venue space, open bar (to include liquor if possible) of some kind for some period of time, apps, meal, wedding cake, tables, chairs, linens, cutlery, centerpieces would be a plus but it seems like not all places include them.

Thanks ladies.  If anyone will know this it's you all!

If he hasn't tried already tell him to check these places out...they may be at $50pp or little more, but they were VERY nice people FI and I met with and they may be willing to work within your friend's budget. I doubt an open bar will be included for $50pp but maybe if your friend did just beer and wine and/or a signature drink that will cut some of the cost down. Good Luck!

That wouldn't be bad but a lot of those places require a caterer right?  In that case you pay for them brining in tables and chairs, etc. and the cost usually ends up about the same.  So if there are caterers for around that price it might be worth it.  When my fiance and I were looking at places that required a caterer most of them still came in at around 80-90 per head at the lowest leve.  And that didn't include alcohol.

Thanks Bliss.  I'll pass these along.
  • If they had chairs and tables they could work with a REALLY basic caterer and get a buffet on paper and plastic for probably $20 pp.

  • If they dont mind a little work, Polanka hall in Bensalem is very nice and you do have to bring in a caterer but they charge 18.95pp for open bar (you can also ask to pay per bottle used instead of per person or opt for just beer and wine.  Then Romitos is a caterer with GREAT food they are about 12.95 pp and deliever it all to you.  The hall has tables and chairs but i believe you need table covers, even so you should come in at about 50pp with all that?  Also M.E.I at twing hall in Trevose has a 45.00pp package includes cake and bar linenes etc.. basic no bells and whistles but nice and Nick the chef is easy to work with and very helpful and flexable!!
