Central Library

Has anyone here used the IMCP Central Library for their wedding venue? My FI and I love the idea of getting married there. However, they offer very little information about their caterer, the website doesn't mention anything about restrictions in decorating, etc. I know I should make plans to meet with them, but I am curious about what other brides thought on their experiences there.

I've never been there, but I saw pics on a blog about a year ago.  It's gorgeous!  And definitely not your typical wedding venue.  I would definitely give them a call and set up a meeting, then go prepared with a list of questions.  Have fun and good luck!

I actually considered them (I am a librarian) before deciding to go with the White River Gardens.  If you email the contact on the website, they will send you catering info (the prices are what made me decide against it) and answer any preliminary questions you want to have answered before setting up an actual appointment!

That's really nice! I was worried we'd have to set up an appointment with them before they would tell us anything, and my FI is off on a job for the next two months.

Now I'm super worried that their pricing will be ridiculous! Haha, well, I better cntact them. I'll post some info on here afterward if people are interested.

Honestly, part of my price concern was that I'd want to hold the ceremony there too, and so I'd probably need to rent two rooms...but additionally, I just found the sample menus they gave me to be about $10/plate higher than White River Gardens (they use Centerplate Catering).  But my budget may be lower than yours!  It IS really beautiful, I hope you can work it out!
