So I'm back from the Canadian Bridal Show at the Metro Convention Centre - it was exhausting but lots of fun! I went with my mother, which a lot of other brides-to-be seemed to do as well, or they took a girlfriend. I didn't see too many men there - except for vendors and hot models on stage showing the latest in tuexdo fashions!
The fashion show was great - even though I didn't really see any dresses I would consider for my wedding, I love fashion and it was just great to see the different styles and designs. Before the show started they had this pre-show where they brought couples up to the stage to have a dance-off and then the men walked the runway in high heels - for the chance of winning a diamond ring. It was funny, but some of those guys looked like they wish they went somewhere else that day!
I mostly walked around and got vendor cards for things like dj, flowers, photography. One display area had my colour scheme which was great for ideas. Overall, I think it was useful to get a lot of info in one place, but boy was I exhaused afterwards - every vendor pushing pamphlets and yelling - "what's your date?" had my head ringing after awhile. But I'm still glad I went - it was my first bridal show.
Anyone else go this weekend? What did you do/how did you find it?
