Where did you get your flower girl dresses and how much were they? Also, how long before your wedding did you buy/order the dresses?
I can't get over the ridiculous prices I've been seeing in bridal shops.

Re: Flower Girls
Definitely bridal stores are out - the ones I've seen are $150 - $200 which is crazy for a little girl's dress.
I've seen cute ones at Zellers, The Bay, and Walmart for $25-$40. I think I'll go with one of those once I decide on a colour scheme since I want to do coloured dresses.
If you want more of a traditional white FG dress, try one of those small privately-owned stores - there's one in the Burlington Mall called OK Kids and they have all kids' clothes, including a section of formal wear - little white dresses and mini suits for little dudes. That might not help if you're not in the Burlington area though.
I'm not getting the dress actually made until July for an Aug wedding, as my flower girl is 7 and has grown alot in the last few months.
If you know somebody who sews, you can go to fabricland and look at dress patterns and have a family/friend make it. Most of the FG dresses are pretty simple designs. This way you can pick out the material that you like. They have tonnes of patterns at fabric stores to choose from.
Impressions Bridal has really nice flower girl dresses... but I can get them there for a reduced cost because I have 4 flower girls which gets me 20% off sticker. That said, I will not ask the parents of the flower girls to spend $150+ on a little girls dress.
I was told by my bridal store not to order until April/May... just because kids grow so much!
I also saw a dress that I adored at H&M for $30 but they only had it in blush pink and I want ivory coloured dresses. I'm going to keep checking kids stores and see if I find anything I like!
