Thoughts...

So originally we considered having one, then pricing them out around Muskoka we leaned towards not...

BUT I would like to have a video of the ceremony. I don't need a fancy, edited video, just something to watch...

So I was talking to my one BM and she said her husband could video tape it for us... I'm thinking this is the best option yet, thoughts?

I say, why not?  Someone else posted something similar here about thoughts on a videographer, and a few brides who didn't get it done wished they had, or at least someone to videotape the ceremony and the vows - whether it was a friend or an actual videographer.  So if he's willing to do it, I say go for it?  At least you'll have that to be able to watch over and over.

The way we look at it, I would have wanted the raw footage from a videographer anyway because I don't want them to edit out the mistakes, the reactions, the things that go wrong, etc... those are part of the day!

I think this is a great idea.  I am thinking of doing the same thing.  Already spending an arm and a leg for a photograher so dont really want to fork out the extra cash for a videographer too.  I am thinking of having a family friend video tape the ceremony.

Thanks girls, I think I just needed to hear from someone else that it was a good idea and not just a good idea in my head! Its decided then, this is the route I'm going to take
