Gift to Deacon

Hi everyone!

We are living in one state and getting married in another. The deacon in our local church has been meeting with us once a month. He has done all the paperwork for the diocese, the FOCCUS and review, and set us up with a NFP class. My FI and I are unsure about what to give him as a gift. He lives in a 65 and older community and his wife passed away a few years ago.

Thanks!

I'd recommend asking staff at the church who know him well!  I just called the general parish number and talked to the receptionist about what she thought the priest and deacon would appreciate as gifts.  The initial suggestion was to request a Mass to be said for them!  We also got them restaurant gift cards and donated to one of their favorite local charitable organizations.

If you have an AmEx card, they have a feature called "Be My Guest".  This can be used in any restaurant that accepts AmEx and their dinner will be simply billed to your account and no bill will be presented to the table.

Thanks ladies! I think I will do a restaurant gift card. Everyone loves food, right?
