pre cana

so my fiance' & i just registered for pre cana tonight... we will be doing four evening sessions for 2 hours each... i really don't know too much about it, but was just wondering if pre cana is anythng to be nervous about... any thoughts?? what kind of questions do they ask? do they divide us into groups for the whole thing??

We did the EE Weekend. It is really nothing to be nervous about. Just go into it with an open mind and heart. Don't be afraid to ask questions and be honest with yourself. Good luck.

I wouldn't be nervous. I'll admit, I did find some of it kind of awkward, but not ridiculously so.

We had to do an engagement seminar and take the FOCUS survey first. It asked us 189 questions about our relationship. Our classes have pretty much just been going over the questions we had different answers on. Our priest was pretty laid back, so so far it's been ok.

our pre-cana has been really helpful, and allowed us to talk about a lot of stuff.

Ours was easy- a one shot deal in seven hours on a Saturday in Chicago. No priest was involved- just a Catholic married couple and a workbook. The couples at our table were cool and I didn't hate the experience. But in all honesty, I didn't really learn anything. If you and your fiance have been together for awhile, then you've already talked about everything the session(s) will address. We just took it as further evidence that we really do have good communication.
