sponsor couple

FI and I have our first meeting with our sponsor couple tonight! We are a mixed religion couple (FI is Baptist) and so are our sponsors. Hopefully that will make FI more comfortable, b/c though he is supportive and has gone to mass with me many times, as well as pre-Baptism classes for our god-daughter, and Pre-Cana, I think he still feels a bit 'lost' at times.

    FI and I met with our sponsor couple for the 3rd time last night--we LOVE them!!!! We are actually very similar to them: mixed religions (Protestant/Catholics), military, etc. It's really awesome to chat with them about issues, hear their experiences, learn more about each other. We have a great time and I hope you do too!! Lots to get out of it!

    I'm very excited to meet them in person. During the first phone call with the wife, FI was in the other room and asked if I had been talking with my sister. I said no, it was our sponsor, and he replied that he thought it was my sister b/c he kept hearing me laugh. We just got along so much on that first call, I'm looking forward to getting to know them more!
