This weekend, my church had a good number of young people being confirmed. There is school attached to the church which accounted for about 90% of those to be confirmed.
As I have often seen at confirmations, the bishop asked the young people rather random questions and they were all pretty much on their toes with their responses.
The bishop asked one young girl, "What is The Trinity?"
The girl stood up and replied, "The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit."
The Bishop replied, "but I don't understand that".
This young girl, perhaps 15, with red hair and a face almost as red, stood up and replied,
"Sir, you're not supposed to understand it, that's why it's called a mystery"
(Most of the attendees were choking, trying to hold the laughs back.)
She got more than a few claps when she filed down the aisle leaving
I loved her!
