I love Thursdays...it's not the weekend, but it's so close that I get this burst of engery to push me through to the finish line, you know? So what's everyone up to this fine Thursday?
Yesterday my doctor officially diagnosed me as having PCOS. I'm also pre-diabetic. He is pretty sure I have endometriosis, but I don't want to undergo laparoscopy at this point to diagnose it for sure. Perhaps related to the PCOS, perhaps it's own thing, my body is "ovulating" an immature egg each month, so I wouldn't be able to conceive if I were trying. I'll likely have to use fertility drugs when we do TTC. At the same time, some people have a few issues that are associated with infertility, and end up conceiving without a problem, so I'm trying not to get all doom-and-glood about my prospects. For now I'll be taking progesterone during my luteal phase, and am considering Metformin. Thanks everyone for you prayers and support!
Other than that, I've just been all sorts of exhausted lately, and am hoping to get a good amount of sleep this weekend!
Re: TGIT
i am happy its thursday too. i have no late night meetings next week so im really looking forward to a nice weekend and then a normal workweek next week. the weather here has been sunny and crisp and simply gorgeous.
my random fact for the day is that ive started running. im tired of being fat and our weight loss discussion last week got me thinking. ive gone 3 times already and while im doing about 18-20 minute miles its a start, and ive been doing 3 miles each time. ive also cut out all alcohol (so hard!!) and im trying to eat less.
Calypso, I'm really proud of you. It takes a lot of strength to identify something you want to change and make it happen. Plus, I love the idea of running, but never succeed in making it happen, so I admire the people who do, even if you're just getting started. *hugs* to you, too.
My trip home earlier this week went really well. C slept through all the car rides and did ok sleeping in the strange (to her) house. It makes me excited to go back for a weekend soon! I'm all thrown off by the days of the week because of it, though. I'm ready for the week to be over for my H, though (he's having a rough one), so Friday afternoon can come quickly as far as I'm concerned.
Biblio, I'm glad your trip went well!
[QUOTE]well, to clarify, my "running" is a power walk mixed with running. i can run at probably 5 miles per hour for maybe 2 minutes, then i have to walk for 2 or 3 minutes, then go at it again. hopefully i can build up to be able to run the whole time, even if its at a a slower pace to start. i have a couple of coworkers who run in 5K's and id love to do one with them in the spring. i need to get down to 40 minutes for less tho so i dont embarrass myself!
