Stock's Manor/Milestone Inn-Mechanicsburg/Harrisburg, PA

Just curious if anybody has had any experiences with Stock's Manor located in Mechanicsburg, PA. We are going to look at it on Saturday afternoon as an option for our wedding reception and I would love some personal feedback or comments from fellow brides.

Also, the Milestone Inn located on Front Street in Harrisburg has recently been bought by new owners and has announced that they will be booking weddings for the 2012 season. Has anybody heard anything further than that? I've tried to contact them from the information given on their website (milestoneontheriver.com) but nobody has responded. Makes me a little apprehensive to even look into it considering they are brand new owners...could be disastrous?!

I'm not any help but the Milestone might have been affected by the flooding. Might explain the lack of communication. Good luck on Saturday!

One of my girlfriends checked out stocks manor and thought it was pricy for what was offered and if you are staying there apparently the bridal suite is across the hall from their kids rooms as whoever owns it also lives there?  No idea as this is all what I heard from her.  At least check it out because hey you never know:)  Good luck.

I had emailed Milestone Inn last month when I was looking for a venue and never heard back from them!  We ended up going with Karen's Harmony Hall in Middletown and I'm really happy with my choice.  Good luck with your search!
