Naples Ceremony and Reception Venues?!

Hellooo Florida BRIDES!!

My fiance and I are discussing a Naples destination wedding in March, 2013 ... in searching for venues, I'm having a difficult time getting the full picture of what they are like, and even what is available.

I would love a beach front ceremony, but am open to other options ...

Would expect about 50 guests, budget isn't necessarily "limited" but I want it to be reasonable enough ... maybe like 5-7k .. is that realistic for a Naples wedding?

I LOVE the pictures of Ritz-Carlton, but would like to check out some less expensive options.

Oh boy, let me know if I'm (I mean WE'RE) making the right choice =)

TIA!!

The Ritz-Carlton is exquisite and the service is perfect, but two things...I don't believe the hotel is directly on the beach and I think your chance of having a wedding there in your budget is pretty slim.

Someone else can verify not being on the beach part, but that's what a sales manager at the hotel told me.

The wedding planners there don't seem to like the B word - budget.

I stayed at La Playa in Naples, had a spa day, and participated in a dinner on the beach.  It was incredible, but again not inexpensive!

Just beware of L'Etoile in Naples.  Be very careful if you are thinking about booking any special event with Marc and Patricia Berruet at L'Etoile in Naples, FL.  The husband is the chef and the wife in the "event planner".  They are holding thousands of dollars in deposits from a venue they ran in Kill Devil Hills, NC, called  The Pearl.  On the OBX board you can read about the problems that brides had trying to get in touch with Trish all summer.  She would take months to return calls and then got the details of the reception wrong.  (one couple had to buy their own cake although they paid Trish for it).  Additionally, they have not communicated with any of the 2012 brides that they no longer operate The Pearl in the Outer Banks of North Carolina.  Their old location in NC is now being renovated by the hotel to which it is connected and will be under new management.  It looks like they took the money and ran off to Naples.  BEWARE.
