Dress fittings

My mom and I  are going dress shopping at David's Bridal this weekend but I've been reading that DB alterations are very expensive. Would it be okay to buy my dress at DB and take it somewhere else for the fittings? Any suggestions for places in the Tampa/St. Pete area? I was looking at Emelina's...Thanks!

    Everyone here suggested I go to Daisy 813-246-4630. She was super nice and really knows what she is doing. She has been sewing for 50 years. I haven't seen my alteration, but I'm confident I will be happy.

    I'm using Emelina's and I bought my dress somewhere else. She is super nice and really knows her stuff!

    I enjoyed my experience at Alfred Angelo in Tampa...also Cici's boutique in St Pete and/or Tampa are great!
