Darla Stafford for Hair and Makeup -- semi-long post :)

Hi, there,

I'm getting married in St Pete Beach next Feb. I live in Chicago and am coming down for the LAST time before my wedding THIS April to interview all my vendors.

I've looked through every hair and makeup person you've recommended, but Darla Stafford is the only one I like. The only issue is that she is not available for a trial this April.

For those of you who have used her, would you say it's worth signing the contract and going with her anyway? I can schedule a trial for a few days before the wedding to nail down details, but I would really have to book her now.

I'd LOVE your thoughts because I am VERY nervous about looking like crap on my wedding day.:)

    I would hire Darla in a heartbeat.  I actually got a different hair do on the day of my wedding that I did on my trial and as far as makeup goes, the only thing I changed was my lip color because I like my own lipstick.

    Thank you moonstone523! You're actually the bride from whom I first got the idea to go with her. Your pics look great and so do every other bride she's featured on her site!

    Anyone else have a personal experience with Darla?

    Darla is the best.  Book her now, she was my rock, I would marry her if I could :)

    OMG, @Sara76. That's awesome! What a recommendation. I do need a rock -- I'm a total freak!

    I realize this is late, but I agree with PP. I would hire her even without a trial. She did the hair and makeup for myself, 6 bridesmaids, jr bridesmaid, flower girl and my mother. We all looked fabulous! I actually had 4 trials since I am so picky and she was by far the best! You cannot go wrong hiring her.
