Bridal Shower and need some advice (PIP)

We had my bridal shower a few weeks ago…

I copied someone on here and decided to get my hair and makeup trial done the morning of so I could show it off and get some feedback… Cari from KyleLynn came up to my mom’s house and did me up…  My hair and makeup looked awesome… Although the makeup was a bit much, but I guess it’s a me thing (according to all my friends) since I NEVER wear anything other than eyeliner and maybe some eye shadow on special occasions  

The shower was awesome, I had soooo much fun. We had it at a friends house which was great… I got to see a ton of people, my two best friends came down for it (one from RI and my MOH from NC) His whole family came up which was awesome I love his mom and grandma. Then after all the festivities he surprised me by showing up with a bouquet of flowers… so awesome

I do need some advice though… Two of my bridesmaids couldn’t make it… One felt horrible and ended up coming down later in the week and we went dress shopping and hung out, the other I haven’t heard a peep from her since she texted me the DAY BEFORE the shower to let me know she wasn’t coming…  I think I’m going to have to drop her… Thing is she was local when I asked her to be a BM but since then she’s moved to Chicago and we’ve just lost touch… I’ve talked to lots of people and they say it only makes sense to drop her since she hasn’t even ordered her dress and who knows if she’ll be able to now… Any advice on how I should go about doing this…

i would talk to her about it before do that. tell her your concerns and let her know that if it is too much for her she shouldn't feel bad and to just let you know so you can work something else out. your makeup looks good. i dont think it's too much at all.

I also did my hair and makeup trial before my shower.  I highly recommend doing it on a day like that or before an E-shoot.  It seems like such a waste if you don't at least get to go out and show it off.  Your hair and makeup look great BTW!

I agree that I would talk to her first before making any decisions.  It's easy to get caught up in our own weddings because for the time being our lives revolve around it, but it's different for our friends (even our BM's).  It does concern me that she hasn't ordered her dress yet with less than 3 months left.  That could be a big problem.  Are they all wearing the same dress or are you letting them choose their own? 

If she's not local and you are not able to see her in person, I would call her up and tell her you just want to follow up and see if she has everything she needs (dress, shoes, accessories, etc.).  If she doesn't have anything at this point I would express my concern and ask what the holdup was.  Maybe financial reasons?  No time?  Whatever her reasons, you should try and hear her out before you drop her IMHO. GL!
