Weekend Plans?

What is everyone's weekend plans WR or NWR?  I CANNOT wait for this weekend..mostly becase I spend the entiretyof last weekend cooped up in a classroom learning about adolescent development!  THis weekend we are going to

1.) Find suits for the groomsmen and groom
2.) Get xyron tape and ribbon to begin assembling the invites
3.) Email our vendors to check in
4.) Plan a date night
5.) Do a long run on Saturday morning

Anyone else?

I'm hoping (praying, actually) that our extra shipment of paper arrives so I can finally get these invitations out of my dining room!!!!!

I think I've said this about a million times already but I really am going to get started on making more table runners, an aisle runner and sweetheart table linen.

NWR: I'm sleeping in! I'm exhausted

We're meeting with a baker tomorrow for a cake tasting.  Other than the cake topper I got a few months ago, I haven't given the actual cake much thought. :-/

I also need to look for some tall glass vases for our feasting table CP's, something to make our unity candle set, and maybe an outfit (or two) for our E-shoot (whenever we decide to finally do that!).

Oh, I also finished up one of each of my DIY centerpieces.  I will post pics soon! 
I am glad I decided to do them myself because it is saving us over $1,000 and I heart them!

Yes, sleeping in is definitely on the agenda.  I'm pooped.

We are driving to Tampa tonight after work and looking at venues ALL day tomorrow. SO excited!

We have appointments with the Sirata and Tradewinds.  As well as St. Mary's and St. Raphael's in St. Pete for the church...

Any suggestions on what to look for?  Or questions to ask? 

We just got engaged a month ago so this is our first REAL planning weekend...yay!!

Congrats!  How exciting!

We looked at both Sirata and TW too.  I actually worked at TW all throughout highschool and LOVE the grounds!  The only thing I will tell you about Sirata is that they charge your guests to park.  I believe $6 or $8.  I know I've read that other brides have negotiated that amount down or waived it altogether but you must make sure it is written in your contract.  Just a head's up and something to consider.  HTH!

Congrats above on the Engagement!!

Starting the weekend a little early:  I just approved the proofs for my escort cards, signs, table number & thank you card requirements to our printer so that was a huge check.

Saturday - future niece in-laws dance recidal.  Can't wait to see the 4 years olds dancing about the stage...should be a good laugh!

Sunday - just like ufsweetiebear said...for the millionth time I swear I am going to start to make table runners! Also try and pack up all the stuff I need to send to Flroida.
