To Isla Del Sol Brides or Have Chairs with Arms

To those of you who were Isla Del Sol brides or had a venue that only had chairs with arms, I just needed to know what you did as far as chair covers? Right now, I am getting the majority of my linens for Connie Duglin but, from what my planner is telling me, they don't carry chair covers that fit chairs with arms. My colors are red and white and, as far as I know, the chairs are a greenish color. Then, the only company that has the chair covers I need is A Linen Valley but their delivery and pick up charges would be almost as much as the chair covers themselves. If I have to, I will pick them up but I don't want to volunteer one of my guests to collect them after my reception..( I am having a destination wedding and I don't want to put my guests to work after traveling) I just wanted to know what other brides have done in this sort of situation. I am very frustrated because I just want to get the linen situation straightened out so I can move on to the next big thing. I almost want to skip the chair covers because it's a huge expense but I fear that the green will throw everything off. Darn it!

  • I skipped the chair covers. I had gold chairs and my colors were coral and aqua. I just said F it. It didn't matter so much since we were only inside with the chairs for dinner then the party moved out onto the patio. In my opinion, chair covers won't make or break the wedding. They make everything look nicer but I doubt anyone remembers I had mismatched chairs!
