Venue in Sarasota, Bradenton, Venice area?

Hello!

I am newly engaged and am starting to look for a venue in the Sarasota area.  I really love College Hall/Charles Ringling mansion but am unsure of the cost.  Does anyone know anything about this venue or have recommendations for something similar (estate or outdoor with an indoor option in the case that weather isn't the best) at an affrordable cost?

Ringling is beautiful but VERY pricy, College Hall is lovely but they are usually booked very far in advance and they have a very early ending time if you are planing an evening event.  They are also affordable and have an indoor option.  Definately look into Selby Gardens, they have several options as far as renting indoor space as well as outdoor options for ceremony and compared to Ringling or Crosley estate are very reasonably priced.  Phillippi Mansion is also an afordable option that has both indoor and outdoor space. 

Also a word of advice on pricing, the venue isn't the expensive part, its the food/drinks so when looking for venues make sure to see if they have a resident caterer or if they have a list of approved caterers.  This is why I decided not to go with a hotel, you must use their chef and pay for the drinks per drink which adds up very quickly even though the venue rental is often reasonable.
