Last week I casually mentioned to a couple of my BMs about how I didn't have a garter yet.  I've wanted to somehow incorporate my love of the Red Sox into the wedding without it looking tacky.  One of my BMs mentioned that if I found a fabric with the logo, she could make a garter for me. I thought that was really cool, but left it at, well, I'll look and see, not expecting anything.

Yesterday, I saw her and she had a garter on her arm! She made my garter! Awwww. She found the logo and had some other fabric in her house and made it so one side was blue and lacy and the other side was the logo.  I don't have a picture because she's fixing it up, but I just thought it was so sweet of her. Smile

I should also add, I don't talk about wedding stuff all the time with my friends/BMs.

    Soooo awesome!!!  My MOH is making my garter too!!!  She is doing something Marine-ish w/ one of Kev's dog tags hanging from it.  She is so-NOT crafty so I am very excited to see how it turns out and so touched that she would offer to do something like that for me!

    My garter is something from the store that my MOH bought for herself and never used. Im not doing the toss so Im not caring too much what it looks like.

    donada,  i'm not doing it either.  Just not my style and most of our friends are married anyway.   Have you decided to do something else instead?

    EDIT: Playgetaway, I'm not doing a garter toss either, but I do intend to wear one for fun and tradition.  I'm actually not doing a bouquet toss either.  I think they're fun, but most people are either married/engaged or getting a little too old to be happy about their single status.  We're doing an anniversary dance instead and I'm going to give my bouquet to the couple that's been married the longest (my grandparents).
