My mom asked one of my bridesmaids to make my invitations for my shower.  Said bridesmaid is also making my wedding invitations.  Fine.  A few weeks ago, my mom asked me if I would please call my friend and give her the shower information for the invitations.  Fine.  This is where it starts to be not fine.  Somehow this has ended up being my project.  I posted last week about how my FMIL wanted to list all 9 people hosting the shower.  Her reasoning was supposedly so her people would know who I am (eyeroll, we sent out STDs).  So, as a compromise I thought of putting "fiancee of..." on the invitations.  My mom doesn't like it.  What the F?  Why am I in charge of this anyhow?  I don't feel like I should be the editor for this invitations!  Thoughts?

    Oooo. See my mom had "Fiance of..." on mine as well.

    IMHO....let her do what she wants. Its not something you should have anything to do with (outside of the guest list), so if she really wants to list everyone, let her. They arent your wedding invites and most people are going to know they werent done by you, so whats the harm right?

    Wow.... Bridgett giving advice to let something go...????  Undecided  Must be getting soft in her (almost) married old age.  hee hee.

    Yeah, I wouldn't even bother talking about them (the invites), looking at them, arguing over them.... you've got lots of other stuff going on.  I wouldn't want to get in the middle of it.  I could give a crap less whether mine have pink and purple elephants on them and they call me Monica, the future Mrs B, or Kevin's bi-otch.... yup... don't care.  lol

    Oh no, no softness here. Im feeling her irritation actually. Everybody kept running to me about my shower and it was finally like "OMG! Hop off my nuts!" I wanted it to be fun, good food, lots of gifts (dont act like you arent hopin for a ton too!), and I wanted it without having to plan a damn thing b/c the weight of a fun wedding is already on my back I didnt need anything about the shower blamed on me too.

    So yeah, let it go. Tell them to back off and do it how they want b/c its their party to throw, not yours!
