My fiancee and I are planning a "rustic modern" wedding for summer 2013, and we are looking for a location with a barn or large field in which to have our wedding. We are trying to keep the price low, which is making it really challenging to find a location!
A private location would be amazing, but we have only been in the area for a year, so we don't have a lot of connections to make that happen.
We are located in the Frederick Area, but are willing to travel for the right location.
We would love ANY help that you can offer!
Thanks

I realize "low price" is relative, so to clarify, we are trying to keep venue costs below $1200, preferrably much lower than that.
I would appreciate the PM ashlidie, I know there must be places I am overlooking!
I have already looked at the Comus Inn and Ho Co Conservancy, but thank you very much for your suggestions!!!

The Mathwig Event Barn is INCREDIBLE! The price is very reasonable, the family who owns it have been amazing to work with, and you get the barn from Thursday to Sunday at noon. In my mind, no other places in the area even come close! Please check them out!!!

[QUOTE]I sent you the PM the other day, hope you got it. The HCC actually is included on there (loved that venue!). It is a bit above your venue budget BUT for us, if we went with it we could have cut down the total cost because they allow outside catering. KS Catering is so inexpensive. Our venue (Union Mills Homestead) is just $700 for rental but our caterer is around $34 pp for food, while KS is about $20 pp for food. So it's a few thousand more for us total with the cheaper venue rental.
