Best Month for Outdoor Reception

I might have an outdoor ceremony and reception in Orange County.  What would you say is the best time of the year?  Keeping in mind that it will span the afternoon to the evening, when will it not be too hot during the day and too cool in the evening?

Is the wedding right near the coast? If so, you have to be aware of the fog...which there is lots of along the coast...especially in June. If it is more inland, it will be more sunny throughout the day and not as chilly at night. Although during the summer to about sept it will be extremely hot the more inland you go.
