Casa Romantica

Has anyone had their wedding or been to a wedding at Casa Romantica?  I really want to have mine here but want to hear some feedback about the venue before I decide.  Also, I am trying to do the wedding for $20,000 not including my dress and I can't figure out if this will even be possible at the Casa.  I appreciate any advice you may have, Thanks!

It was between $6-8,000 just to rent the place, not including anything else. That's our main reason we didn't.  Also didn't think it was a good venue layout; why have to move away from dinner tables to dance? That seemed weird to us, we don't really want our party to end up splitting up.

I'm having my wedding at Casa Romantica next year on 4/7/12. I'm excited about this venue! I chose it because I love the ocean views and the courtyard. I agree that it's a downside to have the dancing inside in a separate area from the outdoor dining area, but you could instead choose to dine inside and then have a few tables moved to allow dancing in the same area. For my venue rental, food/beverage, additional rentals, and service charges, it will be around $21,300 for what I'm getting at Casa Romantica. I am having 110 guests for that price. I will in addition to that have to get my dress, flowers, DJ, officiant, photography, and any other extras. I'm not sure that you will be able to stick to the $20,000 plus dress budget at this place. I started out my planning envisioning a lower budget than I ended up with, but I'm lucky that my family is helping me pay for my wedding.

Thank you for the responses!  I really loved the layout of the Casa and that it wasn't just one big room for both dinner and dancing.  But now that you have me thinking about it I'm questioning that haha..

Wildrose877- Which catering company did you choose?

Regardless, I'm excited about the venue and really want to make it work.  Your reply is helping me be a bit more realistic about my budget!

Marguerite- I chose 24 carrots as my caterer. They are highly rated on yelp, and they're very professional plus have great food (I've heard). They honestly told me that they are not the cheapest caterer at Casa Romantica, but they were able to get me some discounts on rentals.
I don't think it's a big deal to have dancing in a different area than the outdoor dining, but that's just me. It was actually my mom who was concerned about it, as well as the pp. I'm very excited about Casa Romantica and I feel that the ocean views and the beautiful courtyard/indoor area make the rental price worth it! Let us know if you decide on the Casa :)

<div>We used 24 Carrots for our wedding and they were fantastic.  Well worth the money.  We chose a less fancy venue so we could spend our money of food.</div>

Hi! I'm having my wedding at Casa Romantica in 4 months on October 1st!  I can't wait! The reason I chose this venue even though it was going to take up a lot of my wedding budget was of the ocean views and Spanish style architecture.  My catering is with Iva Lee's and I highly recommend them! Great prices and great food! Good luck with your selection.

We decided to go with Casa!  I am so excited!

Has anyone used any of the caterers besides 24Carrots?  Carbonara or Iva Lees?  I'd love to hear some feedback.  Also, I could use a recommendations for a florist, photographer, and music if you have them!

    Thanks!
