San Diego Rowing Club

Has anyone had their wedding or know someone who has had their wedding at the San Diego Rowing Club? It's in Mission Bay, and I really want a beach wedding ceremony (actually in the sand) so I'm not sure how the beaches there are, the pictures sent to me were taken on a gray day and it faces a shack type building? Are there any other nice sandy beaches close by? I've looked into some different venues in Coronado but it's just too expensive.  Any tips would be great

There is another rowing club, ZLAC, that has a boat house, and I've seen/heard about weddings there.  It's right on the sand/Mission Bay.

Go to Bridalinsider.com.  It's another great wedding site/discussion board.  Go to Vendor Reviews.  There was a review of the ZLAC boathouse for a wedding:  Kristin and Lisa's wedding I think is the beginning part of the name of the review.  Should be on the most recent page, or just one behind it.
