Alternatives to dancing--small wedding approx 30 guests

I am getting married in Duluth in June. Because this is a smaller wedding we have decided to do a dinner at 6pm (after ceremony and mansion tour) at a local restaurant in their "lake view room". I am looking for some things to do to keep guests busy after we eat. We plan to be at the restaurant from 6pm-10pm. ANY IDEAS ARE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

To keep in mind: there will be no children there but ages will range from mid 20s to late 60s.

THANK YOU!!

  • I am sure that people could just socialize after dinner.  You would think that 4 hours is a long time, but honestly...after dinner, dessert, and after dinner drinks...its like you just started!

Your reception sounds nice and intimate!
  • We are booking a live jazz band - not a DJ. It may be a better atmosphere for sitting and chatting.
