AW: Doing Some PinUp/Boudoir Afterall!

There was a LS deal for boudoir photography, 3 hour shoot with hair, makeup, and wardrobe styling and a CD with 5 retouched images for $75! They usually run about $400!!! 

I still have to pay gratuity, which I guess I should base not off of the coupon but off of the regular price? This is what FI and I do whenever we eat out somewhere and have a coupon. That'd be like a $40 tip right? (10% of 400?). 

I also have to pay $20 IF I want to choose my own 5 images, but I can let her choose for no charge. It's not like she'd pick bad ones, because what kind of photographer would that make her, you know? I still probably will just pick my own. Any additional images are only $5. 

I'm stoked!

It does sound like a good deal!  And yes if you are going to tip I would say base it off of the regular price as you suggested.

Thats a great deal! Did you book yet? I'd love to do something like that but I think I'd be way too self-conscious!

Wow! what a great deal! My photographers prices START at 500! Definitely tip based on the original amount though if you choose to. Since mine is in business for herself I probably won't tip her, I'll just buy her a gift and give it to her the day of the wedding.

Have you decided what you're wearing or using as props? I have to go costumne shopping after the new year lol

Rae, I booked it today for February 16! She was really busy with the holidays/Valentines day coming up, so I didn't mind waiting at all. 

The lady sounded SO awesome and fun. Seriously I was on the phone with her 15 minutes discussing the session, what to bring, what to do prior, etc and I felt like I was one of her friends. I think I'll be super comfortable with her! I can also bring a friend for no charge.

faerylvr, they have a lot of costumes and props there, but they told me to bring my own undies for health code reasons and stockings (if I want them) since they snag so easily they don't keep them on hand. She also said I'm free to bring whatever I'm comfy in because if I feel uncomfy, it will show like crazy in the pics. I think I'm taking a corset, some peep toed heels, and maybe some costume jewelry pieces I have, then see what I can do with their stuff. I only get one "look" so I want to make sure it's a good one!

congrats on that awesome deal! As PP said, definitely tip based on original price. It might vary by geographical area but I tend to tip 15% minimum and 20% if they had great service. let us know how it goes in february!
