I just got back from there. It's a solid Mexico AI. The staff were very friendly and the beach was nice and clean. The pool area was a little small and crowded. Like many of the Mexico resorts, they do play that game where they tell you that your room will not be ready for hours/they only have a double bed room in your category/etc unless you want to upgrade to a higher category. All of the rooms are basically the same. The upgrade gets you a better view and certain extra perks. We did it because I'd been traveling all night and I really just wanted to sleep and it was really inexpensive. (30-40/night extra)

The only restaurant that I liked was Pelicanos and Maria Marie. The bar service was very good.  Room service was prompt.

The room was nice. The two person jacuzzi was nice but it took forever to fill. The balconies are very small but all are ocean view.

    The spa was nice.

The resort grounds are very, very small. It felt a little cramped to me, but that's typical of the hotel zone in Cancun. Overall, I think you guys will have a great time on your honeymoon.

I wanted to respond about the size of the balconies because yes, they vary in size. If I remember correctly, we were in 634 or 635? I chose it when I checked us in online because I could see that it had a larger balcony, two chairs, a small table, and a full size hammock. It also had a full wall between it and our neighbors. Some of the rooms had smaller balconies or "shared" with the room next door or had a swinging chair hammock. We loved our room.

I don't remember the balcony being small. We were on the 7th floor and booked a room with a private balcony (walls on both sides). I think the rooms on the 2nd and 6th floors all have private balcony's- I would definitely choose one of those.

I guess it just depends on one's experience because we had a private balcony that was supposed to be bigger than the others. From your description it sounds just like the one you had, but we felt it was small and cramped, compared to other places that we've stayed. The balcony was not bad and we definitely utilized it, but it could have been bigger.

OP, you will have a great time regardless of what room you book and what balcony you have. The place is beautiful... Just remember it's your honeymoon and not to sweat the small stuff.
