Dreams La Romana

I did a search before posting this but most of the results were pretty old. Has anyone been to Dreams La Romana in the DR? Or know anyone who has? I just booked it this morning, and I feel pretty good about it but wanted to hear some reviews from anyone on here too.

Hi! Was there in March 2011 and absolutely loved it! It's a beautiful resort and everyone is incredibly friendly! We stayed in the preferred section and the rooms were fabulous! Also having access to the preferred pool is a plus. We never had an issue on the beach or by the pools when it came to securing a lounge chair. I imagine during the busy seasons it could become harder. We never had any issue with the food! There may be occasional waits, but it goes quick. We ate at the Seasie Grill, Worldcafe for most lunches and dinners, Hitamsiu, El Patio, Bordeauex and the Jungle. As for an excursion, we only wanted to do one, so we booked the Catalina trip we did it once we were there. It was a lot of fun and the island is beautiful. Where are you flying into?
